DIGITAL LEARNING & BYOD
BYOD at Ebbett Park School
At Ebbett Park School we are now requiring our learners to explore their learning, thinking, engaging with others and educational content via a digital device. This means that we will have in 2021 a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy for our Year 4-6 students.
Year 4-5 – optional BYOD. Our Year 4 and 5 students have the option of bringing a digital device to school.
Year 6 – compulsory BYOD. Our Year 6 students are required to have a digital device at school.

What apps do we use at Ebbett Park School?
At Ebbett Park School we use Seesaw, ClassDojo and Skool Loop apps to share learning, successes and to communicate with parents. When our child enrols they will be given a handout with all the information needed.
Seesaw is a free app that gives parents access to their child’s learning. Every time an item is tagged to their child they will receive a notification. Parents can respond back to the post with a written or audio comment.
ClassDojo is our school-wide reward tool. ClassDojo is a free app. When students are demonstrating our school expectations they are rewarded with Dojo points. At the end of the week, these points are used for our house competition. Teachers and parents can also communicate through this app.
Skool Loop is our school-wide communication tool. On Skool Loop we place alerts, newsletters and have a calendar. Parents can inform us when a child is away or quickly access phone numbers, email and our website.
Coding and Robotics
We starting to explore more digital technologies through coding and robotics. We are Beebots, Lego WeDo and Lego Spike in our classrooms.
We also have Junior School and Senior School websites with a lot of great information and links to online learning activities.
